I'd give these selections a grade of "C" at best.  They could have done a lot better with the movie line-up.

Whoa, I don't know about that! Seem like a very good selection to me. What would you have had/replaced?

Man...CHOPPING MALL!  I would have loved to have seen that with an audience.

How does one find out about these things.  I live in northern NJ and am always combing the net for film fests and revivals...and without fail, I stumble across them the day after they've happened.

I missed the Netflix WARRIORS gig at Coney by twelve damn hours!.

Is there some kind of source to watch for any things like these?
That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

MR. BRIGGS:

I probably would have eliminated the competitions and contests and added more movies.  I also would have leaned it more toward the old classics (like the original WAR OF THE WORLDS and INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS . . . probably THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL) and I would have replaced ROBOCOP and SLITHER (both enjoyable, but they seem sort of out of place on this list) with stuff like WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE and the original VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED.  I think movies like DEATH RACE 2000, HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP and SPAWN OF THE SLITHIS would have been nice additions.

Eh, well I guess we like different decades in film.
