Hey, I have a question. Has anyone seen How To Make a Monster with Steven Culp and Clea DuVall? I really want to see it, and I can't find it anywhere! Someone told me that's because it stinks. If you've seen it, tell me about it. Where can I get it?Thanx.

Mofo Rising

I haven't seen it, but I've seen it on the "New" shelf at the local Blockbuster.  If one Blockbuster has it, all the rest probably do too.  You can also buy it on Amazon, if you're inclined to give your money away.

It certainly doesn't look good.  The title and the cover makes it look like a semi-children's movie, like those Pulsepounders titles.  However, HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER is rated R.  Weird.

Also, it seems to be one of those Creature Feature movies that were featured on Cinemax a couple of months ago and are just now making it out onto video.  I didn't see any of them either.

Wow, all that information and yet I was still amazingly unhelpful.  Neat.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Fango said it starts off well, but goes downhill . . . eh? whats the worst that could happen if you rented it? like mofo said, its at blockbuster and hollywood video, so id imagine it aint too tough to find.
I am the Lindberg baby! . . . and yes, i have abandonment  issues . . .

This is a bit of an old man's complaint, but why are these lame remakes out on disc when the classic '50s cheese films that inspired all of them remain unavailable?  Many of them aren't even out on tape.

To be fair, I haven't seen any of these remakes.  Still, will people still be interested in seeing them in 40-50 years, as we are with the orginals?  I think not.

I was stupid. I forget all the details, but some people are working on a Quake-like sword and sorcery type game and they have this mechanical motion capture type suit. Of course the computer bad guy ends up killing someone, taking over the suit and using the dead body as well as other stuff from around the lab to build a monster that kind of resembles Evil Ash from Army of Darkness. It then goes on a killing spree, hacking up the other members of the design team just like it does in the video game.

She Creature was quite well done. The ending went a little overboard, but overall, I thought it was a decent movie and quite atmospheric.

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll think twice before seeing it. I didn't see it at Blockbuster, but I'll try again. Thankx! ;)

See it just for Tyler Mane getting his ass kicked, and Clea DuVall being hot.

Seen it and I tell you it isn't that bad, it has some okay effects, blood, some nudity and it's still better than the new "Earth vs. The Spider" (Dan Akroyd is in it) and the completely moronic "Teenage Caveman". If you don't take it seriously it's a fun time waster... and more.
