(quote)

"Cult movie musical "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is set for a makeover with a new celebrity cast and new tunes. Impressario Lou Adler, who produced the legendary 1975 movie hit, starring Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry, is putting the finishing touches to a new cast list, and he hopes to have a new TV movie version of "Rocky Horror" ready for Halloween 2003. "Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert" moviemaker Stephan Elliott is on board to direct the remake, while "Moulin Rouge" composer Marius De Vries has been signed up to add original music. Adler admits the project has taken a long time to come together because he has been unable to find a replacement for Curry, who played outrageously camp Frank N Furter in the original. The producer says, "I just never found the right person but now I have. We're going to wait until March and then probably do it for next Halloween." No casting details have been released, although speculation in Hollywood suggests Marilyn Manson is a frontrunner for the Frank N Furter role."

Picked this up from the Mr. Cranky message board with no source, but a Google search of RHPS fan sites backs it up...A "ROCKY HORROR" TELLY MOVIE? What a crock of...spewwwwwwwww!!!

I don't think these asshat studio heads realize that what made Rocky Horror work in the first place .. was the Audience participation..  I can't think of too many homeowners that are going to want friends flinging toast and unloading with water pistols in their living rooms.

Rocky horror on TV  simply doesnt work..  wouldnt matter who the actors are.. its gonna suck bigtime.

It's now official.  Hollywood has absolutely no original ideas whatsoever. Even the real Rocky Horror doesn't work on Comedy Central.  And RHPC bombed at first, until the audience began twisting the movie to its own end, without Riff-Raff marketing an audience participation package.  It happened spontaneously, which is what makes it so good.  Of course that doesn't occur to Hollywood, which uses its collective gluteous maximus as insulation for its head.

Oh great. Just what the world needed, I think not. Hollywood, please STOP WITH THE REMAKES AND CRAP SEQUELS!!!!!!!!!!!

                      Oh,God,please No!!!!!!
Don't even think about remaking this, since all of the Rocky Horror fans would throw an extreme riot over this,if it does ever happens.
