Very cool, though it looks to be made from wood.  Unless there is a plastic sleeve, the "turns effortlessly" bit might be overstated.  Especially in humid weather.

Remember that I hail from Delaware, which has a "Punkin' Chunkin;'" competition every year after Halloween.  It is very hard as a younger man to come up with the money to make a good catapult, because one of the big needs is size.  That throwing arm has to be long, to get force.

And, when younger, we got in trouble for making rocket launchers with model rockets, black powder, PVC pipe, plexiglas, and percussion caps.
