Turner Classic Movies is playing two classic zombie movies on Tuesday night.

I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE (1943), directed by Jacques Tourneur who also directed a bunch of other great movies, including the original CAT PEOPLE, CURSE OF THE DEMON, and COMEDY OF TERRORS.  I've been wanting to see this one for a long time, and as far as I know is unavailable on home video.

WHITE ZOMBIE (1932), stars Bela Lugosi as a zombie master.

I just thought some of you might want to know, seeing as there are about 50,000,000 zombie movie fans that frequent this site.

Two of my favorite zombie movies, especially "White Zombie," which was as far as I can tell, the first zombie movie ever made. And gave Bela Lugosi one of his best roles as "Murder" LeGrande, the zombie master. Another film worth looking for--though, technically not a true zombie movie--is "Ghost Breakers" w/ Bob Hope, Paulette Goddard, Willie Best, Richard Carlson, Paul Lukas,
Anthony Quinn, and Noble Johnson as the zombie. I call these three pre-"Night of the Living Dead," because from then on, about the only way to kill a zombie was to shoot them in the head. Prior to that there were other ways to kill zombies, such as falls in "White Zombie" and drowning in "I Walked with a Zombie."
All four films are worth seeing. Enjoy
