Well I caught a few this week and here they are:

TOMBSTONE - Outstanding, I loved this film. Can't believe I waited so long to see it. I think it was because of the picture on the box with Kurt Russel wearing that mustache, but now after seeing it he was very good in this film as was Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday. This Western is a strong movie that everyone should see.  When Kilmer says "I'm your huckleberry" I nearly wept.......Doc Holiday was so cool in this movie that I will never ever forget this portrayal of him. TOMBSTONE may have just become my favorite all time western. Just above THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, but time will tell. Not sure I can get over the greatness of TOMBSTONE.

BRING ME THE HEAD OF AFREDO (1974) - Someone just told me about this movie on an earlier post this week and it happened to be playing on FLIX last night. Sam Pekinpah directed this film that takes place in Mexico about a man trying to collect a bounty by bring the head of Alfredo Garcia to some americans who are some kind of middle men for a Mexican godfather figure. Extremely violent film. The film is so odd that you will love every moment of this film in some way. Others movies directed by Pekinpah are WILD BUNCH and STAW DOGS.

CITIZEN KANE - This is a good film as far as technique. I especially like the first 30 minutes of narration and cuts after that its just watching camera technique. Again you can see things that influenced Woody Allen later on. Also you can't help but thing of the real life newspaperman Hearst and his Castle while watching this film. Orson Welles who directs CITIZEN KANE must have been using media to advance his career by making a story that reflects an influencial person like Hearst or something like the WAR OF THE WORLDS broadcast to encite the masses. If your a fan of cinema and filmmaking you must see this one.

REIGN OF FIRE - This film bored me beyond belief. The way the people had to live because of the dragons is the only thing that interested me and that wasn't that great. I think they needed to stuff the dragons and swing them by wires as a special effect. That would have been better than watching a CGI image of un-interesting creatures and story. Don't wast your time with this one.

THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING - After I read that Creepazoid thought that this film was under-rated I quickly rented it from Blockbuster. Blockbuster should be held responsible for putting non-movies like this on the shelves. Just because someone puts something on film or videotape dosn't mean that it's a film. THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING did not entertain me at all. Don't waste your time with this one eithier. Sorry Creepazoid.

Score for the Week:
3 good ones
2 bad ones (bad as in boring)

Well, you have inspired me to rent Tombstone, despite my total disgust for Val Kilmer. Also, I must agree with you on Reign of Fire. It had some great concepts (like the sky diving) ruined by the most boring and aimless script maybe ever. I also agree with your views on Citizen Kane. Much better than most political schlock (i.e. The Candidate, Dick) Can you believe that creep Redford is making another Candidate? Ugh.

You won't be dissappointed with TOMBSTONE. Hopefully its not just me.

Since I plugged "Tombstone" once, but, it is still moving, I guess I'll have to plug it again. For me it was the cast, which included Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe, Michael Biehn, Jason Priestley, Michael Rooker, Billy Bob Thornton, Billy Zane, Buck Taylor, Frank Stallone, Christopher Mitchum, Charlton Heston, Dana Delany, Wyatt Earp, and Harry Carey, Jr. And narrated by Robert Mitchum. Theyt seldom come better then that. And yes, the Wyatt Earp in the film was related to the original Wyatt Earp. Enjoy!
