Here is my Double Feature for today:

HELLS ANGELS FOREVER (1983) -  This is a documentary movie about the Hells Angels. They tell the history of biking and the gang. The film show clips from THE WILD ONE. They also use a narrative along with the images of the real Hells Angels. Its a neat film when they talk about the history and footage of the bikers, but then it gets tedious watching these uneducated drunks on cool motorcycles driving around being tough. They could have made this a 20 minute short and then it would have been interesting.

THE QUICK AND THE DEAD (1995) - This is a good western starring Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, and Leonardo DiCaprio. If wasn't your typical western and in fact it felt like a fantasy film. Actually I almost hesitate to call it a western. Its about this guy who hold a shooting contest. Who ever is left standing passes to the next round. (I don't  think this ever happened in the real west.). The film has some good moments. Its kinda like one of those martial arts films were they hold a tournament to the death.

I missed out on the former, but "Quick..." pretty much became a fantasy-esque film, thanks to Sam Raimi's heavy usage of his "Evil Dead"-cam style of filmmaking. I loved it that it was his goriest film(as was "A Simple Plan",which had its moments)since the first "Evil Dead" film.
