older horror movie?

            Hope some one knows the name of this movie.  What  I remember of it  seen it 15-20 years ago on TV .  A group of people on a life boat in the ocean.  One guy gets pulled off by a tentcle.  Then they find a haunted ship and after that a haunted island.  Any Help?  Thanks.

This could be The Lost Continent (1968), 'cept for the tenticle bit.  In this movie, a guy's hand gets mauled by killer sea weed.  Also, the ship(s) and islands aren't haunted, but, well, it's a long, weird story.

It definitely is Hammer's "Lost Continent", based on Dennis Wheatley's crap novel.
