I just simply CANNOT help Shannon Doherty pay for any more plastic surgery!! (and by watching, we help) - Besides Alan Funt is probably rolling over in his grave right now. The show should have been called "Candid Again and Again"
I'm sorry, but I would rather give myself a hernia operation with rusty dull cutlery than watch this "soon-to-be-pulled-off-the-air" farce!

Alan Funt should roll over in his grave! Until he is dug up and properly desecrated the way he should be. Shooting the corpse Serbian-style would be a good start.

Can you tell I hate gotcha/hidden camera/ambush humor? I hated "Candid Camera" as a kid, and I hate all of the various offspring of it. I've just never taken to "it's funny because we're jerking yer chain" kind of humor. The more recent versions of this: Tom Green, "Jackass", "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment", "Spy TV", "Da Ali G Show", etc. have a meaner edge to them that just make it worse for me. Funt came across as your overbearing uncle who didn't know when his jokes wore out their welcome. These new shows seem too much like frat boy hazing pranks with bigger budgets. People must like them because they keep cranking them out, but I'll pass.

"Scare Tactics" is just  the same thing with alien and gross out themes to the pranks. We should avoid it, and maybe it will quickly go away just like that stupid dream show did. SciFi cancelled "Farscape" for cheapo, brainless programming like this?

I kind of like hidden camera shows, but I never thought Candid Camera was all that great. Funt spoiled almost every gag by calling the person on the phone every 5 seconds. I remember one where the victim wasn't paying enough attention to the phone, so he rang it again while the guy was holding the receiver in his hand.
