Swamp creature movie ID...

I brought this up in another thread, but I thought maybe it would do better in its own thread.

Several years ago (probably after 1990 or so), I saw a movie about a bigfoot like swamp creature, but I don't remember the name of it. All I remember is that there was an abandoned house in or near the swamp and that at least one of the characters used to live there. I *THINK* they saw the creature when they were little. I'm not sure why they were returning to the house, maybe the parents died recently, or maybe they were looking for something there. There's at least one attack scene set at night where the characters (I think there were only two of them) are hiding in the house and the creature is trying to break in. I think it eventually gets inside and chases them out of the house. I don't recall there being any real explanation for it.

Anyone have any idea what it was? I'm not positive, but I'd say it was probably made after 1980 or so.

It almost sounds like Legend of Boggy Creek (1972).  Only not quite.  Maybe one of that series?  Like  
Return to Boggy Creek (1977) or maybe Barbaric Beast of Boggy Creek, Part II (1985)?

Barbaric Beast of Boggy Creek, Part II[/b][/u]!?!?!?!?!  The title alone makes me want to wound my eyes with a viewing.  Sheesh.

To get back on topic, I vote The Legend of Boggy Creek, this movie was always running on the local TV station and, for many years, I thought it was real.  Then my dad, who had lived in the region at one point and was familiar with Charles B. Pierce, broke the news to me that "That fool's movie ain't real at all!"

I was crushed.  I so want a bogeyman out in the woods.

Wait, getting a little carried away there. Still, I think the movie he's referring to might be RANA, THE LEGEND OF SHADOW LAKE. Does this plot synopsis sound familiar?

Thanks, I've looked at detailed descriptions of all the movies mentioned above, but I don't think it was any of those. I'm pretty sure it was a bigfoot monster and not a frog monster, so Rana is out. I don't remember it being a documentary style film, so I doubt it was the original Boggy Creek, I KNOW it's not Return to Boggy Creek (I remember that one), and I don't think there was a whole group in the swamp, so it doesn't seem like it was Boggy Creek II.
