I know this movie has been brought up many times before, but I cant get that part out when The Airline Pilot and the Detective are in the spaceship and the pilot is fighting with the head alien! ! The space ship is on fire and ready to blow up and the detective runs off,and looks back and tells the pilot to hurry up and get out! Then runs away! LOL
Also the head alien looks alot like a character in the old Beverly Hillbillys" series! Remember Mr Drysdales, stepson? Sonny Boy?  I know it isnt but they could be twins!

It is impossible to exhaust this film for all things bad and beautiful.
The standard to which others aspire . . .

It may be impossible to exhaust this film for all things bad and beautiful, but let me try. When Bela Lugosi died, Ed Wood replaced him with his wife's chiropractor, who, of course, looked nothing like Bela. One of the scenes goes from night to day without explanation. The tombstones in the cemetery are made out of cardboard and topple over in one scene. The flying saucers are made out of paper plates, and one can see the strings that hold them up. That an actor, playing a cop in the film, scratches his head with his service revolver. That the cast inclueds Criswell, Tor Johnson, and Vampirella. (This film reviewed at this site.)
After or before seeing the film, one might check out Tim Burton's homage to Ed Wood called "Ed Wood' w/ Johnny Depp in the title role. This film recreates some of the scenes from the original. Yes, they don't make filmmakers like Ed Wood anymore, and the world is a lesser place for it.

Steve.

They do make filmmakers like Ed Wood - his name is Jesus Franco (Spanish) He also carries out his crimes under the names Jess Franco and Jess Frank. If you see a video box with any of these names on it buy immediately - satisfaction guaranteed. He's made hundreds of awful movies in many countries. They usually have "Vampire", "Frankenstein" or "Virgin" in the title somewhere. One of his efforts (Unfortunately I can't remember the title, but they're virtually all the same) has one part of the scene lit by candlelight, and the very next shot shows lab equipment and electric lights.  Another shows the villain being chased by a horse and carriage in broad daylight, then suddenly it's a motor-car at night. Absolute insanity, and he insists on always casting himself somewhere along the line.

I am glad to hear that someone is carrying on the good work started by Ed Wood. It sounds like he gives hope to filmmakers everywhere. They see one of his films, and they say: "Hey, I can do better then that." Enjoy
