I agree about getting off the black bandwagon. But, they do need to be careful about the colors and designs of the costumes. See how ridiculous the Justice League costumes look in that silly movie? They are very colorful, but they look very stupid.

You guys have pretty much proven my point â€" Movie companies are too afraid of moving away from the safe Black Costume.  These companies aren't innovative, but would rather rehash the leather, rubber costume.  I'll bet the Spiderman team could make a yellow-blue Wolverine costume work.

You say the Comic Wolverine Costume is inappropriate, yet that is by far the most popular. If a comic book can sell it, then a why not a movie...  Sure, movies have disadvantages from comics, but they also have advantages like realism, 3 Dimensional space and acting.

Black Scorpion in Black Leather Brazier, tights, costume thingey rrrwwwrrr!

Come to think of it, all female super people should be dressed in tight black leather, Good & Bad, with special exception give to to nearly nekkid, really hot blue shape changers!

Other wise I probably can agree with you!

:Well, not quite, but they always come back to the basics. Supes costume was really different as Superman Blue (Electrical Superman), Spidey, as I noted above, went all back and even the Hulk has not only changed costumes at times, but skin pigment (grey to green to grey and so forth). :
I
yes, it is true that almost every hero has gone through their changes. At one time, the Hulk even wore a suit instead of his purple pants. However, it has time and time again reverted back to the basic costume where other heroes have changed their costumes without ever returning to the basics (X Men, Daredevil, Batman).

This is because this is how people know and love their heroes. Spider Man's black costume caused such outrage that Marvel had to dump it. Strange how when the costume became Venom, that it was a massive success. Changing Superman for good would be just as bad as drastically changing Captain America.

::Yes, Superman is an American icon, Wolverine is not::

How could you say that. I bet if you go up to anyone who has an inkling of comic knowledge will tell you these super heroes:
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Hulk, Spidey, Captain America and Wolverine (they may say X Men, but if you press them, Wolverine will be their favorite) These are the classic icons and who verybody knows. However, Wolverine like Batman, can change costumes since they are darker heroes, yet when you think Superman, you think his costume too.

Actually this is a disadvantage. I bet you half of the super hero costumes would be unable to function in the real world since artwork has no real constraints such as gravity, etc. Notice how costumes rarely get ripped up in comics???

Go up to anyone who has no inkling of comic knowledge and I bet they would still know who Superman is, and probably Batman.   Wolverine, I seriously doubt; Captain America and Wonder Woman quite likely, but they don't have near the presence in the American psyche as Superman
