I never know how to post on these types of messages and not sound generic.  At least you do have memories of him that you can keep with you.  My dad passed away when I was young so I really have is a few faded memories, pictures, and things that he owned.  Be happy for the times you did have together and not the ones that never did happen.  If you're ever in south eastern south dakota, the first rounds on me.

No doubt, Ash, you've got a lot of friends on this board. That's the funny thing about tragedy, it tends to being everyone together who's had a similar experience.
You can genuinely tell that folks feel bad, but no one knows what to say.

I'd like to think that people in general don't like seeing other people in pain emotionally. We simply have no idea what to say in the face of a tragedy like the loss of a brother or a sister. (My sister has stage 4-breast cancer and I have no idea how I will handle her eventual passing).

Ash, you've got a good support crew here. Your personality has earned you a lot of friends who have never even met you. Your brother would be proud you have that kind of influence on people.
