Watched this flick at about 2 AM Saturday morning, once my wife and I returned from seeing Beyond Re-Animator.

The film involves a renovation crew who is hired to clean out a shut down insane asylum.  The asylum was shut down due to budget cuts and less than savory medical practices.

Each of the men has a problem they face while working in the asylum.  Mike becomes obsessed with a few tapes he finds in the basement.  The tapes are sessions that were held with a young disturbed woman named Mary Hobbes.

Phil has a drug problem, and is constantly fighting with Henry, another coworker.  Henry stole Phil's girlfriend a few years before.

Henry is obsessed with money.  He wants it all.  Eventually leads to his disapperance.

Gordon is the owner of the company.  He has a newborn at home and a wife who he is always fighting with.  Gordon is constantly tired and fatigued.

Jeff is a recent high school grad.  He has a huge fear of the dark.

The guys each succumb to their urges/fears.  Each start to disappear within the asylum.  Their disappearnces all lead up to a hugely startling ending that shocked even me.

Fantastic film with very little gore.  Quite creepy and scary shot completely on DV!  By far one of the best horror films I've seen in quite some time.

Creepy, entertaining, and fairly scary.  Near perfect horror film.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I really liked it, though some people had problems with the ending. Looks like they expected the final surprise to be completely different and they felt cheated.

What I most liked it is that, for the most part, it was subtle yet scary (take the way the place affects the different characters, for instance). And the scenario was soooo creepy! Brilliant movie if you ask me.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

The ending was one of the most brutal that I've ever witnessed.

I do believe that this is because it was completely off screen.

I have a newborn myself, and the ending was beyond brutal.  Made you think though.

I agree 100% that it's a masterpiece.

One of the best horror films in years.

I thought it was great, first film to really scare me in ages, in that good horror movie way.
I was a little disappointed with the ending though.
