I remember seeing this EXTREMELY cheesy short film on TV in the early eighties about a giant chicken attacking a city..absolutely hilarious! I forget specific details (missing the very beginning didn't help, just caught it as I was changing channels) but one scene I vividly remember was the chicken on top of a building suddenly deciding to return fire by laying eggs as projectiles!! The chicken would swivel around like a cannon on top of this building, take aim and fire giant eggs out of its rear end!! The authorities finally lured the chicken with some bait stategically placed underneath high tension wires. The chicken gets electricuted, smoke fills the screen…and when the smoke clears…are you ready for this…the gigantic chicken is cooked and appears on a gigantic plate, ready for dinner!!! I am NOT making this up, I remember this vividly! Does anyone remember this??? What was it called? Any help would be appreciated!

Mayhaps "The Hoboken Chicken Emergency", if IMDB is any help . . .

Some people like cupcakes better--I for one care less for them

thanks for the info, I looked up that movie and unfortunately it doesn't seem to match (forgot to mention that the movie I was referring to was in black-and-white, with 50s style cars I seem to recall..). Perhaps Hoboken Chicken Emergency is a remake of the movie I'm talking about, but I somehow doubt it..

Try a Google search.......

I too have seen it but can't remember the title.

I know this is an old thread, and I just stumbled upon this board, but you know what? I remember that chicken thing, too! I can't recall the name or much else other then that I saw it around 1988/89 while at college. I believe it was a short or something (it definitely wasn't full-movie length.) It also definitely is NOT "The Hoboken Chicken Emergency," which I believe was some sort of PBS production based on a children's book, and starring the kid from "A Christmas Story." I'm intrigued now. Hope someone else can come up with some answers if anyone's still on this thread.
