REQUEST FOR ANDREW re: Board Pop-Up Ads

Andrew, can you do ANYTHING about these pop-up ads (I forget what it's for) that suddenly drop down from the top of the screen? It's really annoying and a pain in the arse when you're trying to log in or make a post or reply, and these damned ads suddenly drop down in the way!

I have been getting ads as well on here.

I run Ad-aware every now and then and I still see pop ups on here.

Thank God for my pop-up stopper!

I have Ad-Aware also, and it's NOT a guarantee against pop-ups. It's a spyware removal program. What I referred to is actually a little different from a regular pop-up which opens a new window.....these damned things drop down from the top of the screen and cover up when I'm trying to log in or post something.....really annoying.

I am also getting the crazy dropdown thing too.  I think it's for cheap tickets or some similar product.  It's bloody annoying! (as are these drunk ppl in my neighborhood making noise at 3:28 am on a Wed night/ Thur morning- I'd be mad as hell if I still had to get up for a job)

I think that I found the one in question and killed it.  Darn thing is considered an banner ad and it went into the rotation by default.

Sorry about that.  The only ads you should ever see on here are normal banner ads.  No pop-ups, pop-unders, or something like that one that obscures the screen.  Please let me know whenever something like that sneaks in and I'll definitely get rid of it  Just let me know who or what the ad was for, else it can be difficult to find the offending ad.
