I saw the movie at a drive in theater back between 1977-1982. It was about drug dealer and had a really good car chase with a early 1967-69 Camaro (black)?
But the most notable part of the movie was the use of a Dc -9 Airplane taking off  the top of a mountain. The top of the mountain had been cut away with 2 hugh bulldosers  and each bulldover sat at either end of the dirt runway. When the plane took off  the wings clipped alot of trees. I feel this was an indepented movie made either in West Virginia , Ky or Tenn. In the Credits it was mentioned that they did all thier own stunts. Really good aireal pictures of the plane taking off from the mountain Top.  Friends say the movie was " In Hot Pursuit" But it is not the same movie unless there are 2 diffrent movie called that... any help

Yup, there are at least two movies by that name.

The one you might be interested in (and which your friends may be suggesting) is also known as The Polk County Pot Plane.  http://www.imdb.com/Details?0163159

Paragon video put out this movie (or one surpringly like it -- same cast and whatnot) as In Hot Pursuit.  You can see a copy of the box art over here: http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=1:24502.  Details vary greatly on this movie.  At least one source claims it was directed by Bill Rebane.  (If you know for bad movies, you know this is not a good omen.)

Did you already know this isn't the movie you are looking for?  OK, sorry to waste your time.  Otherwise, I hope this info helps.  Meanwhile, I'll be checking with the local "you'd think they had everything" video store to see if they have a copy.  If so, then I'll report back about the bit with the plane.  If not, then based on what I've read about this thing, I may have another keeper of a bad movie.

As mentioned in the last post, I said I was going to try to find a copy locally.  No such luck, so I regret that I cannot personally verify/disqualify this one.
