Bad movies that should have been good

1941 had all the makings of a classic kneeslapper--big ass budget, huge cast of whos-who,  Spielberg directing,  Zemekis writing.  Turned out to be a study in overhype, overblown, overboard, overindulgent waste of time.  Spielberg himself  apparently hated it.

Some people like cupcakes better--I for one care less for them

I agree. I saw this movie on cable a few years ago and I thought it was hilarious. I ended up buying the DVD a couple of months ago and I changed my mind after watching the movie for a 2nd time. I thought it had a couple of funny parts, but was mostly just dumb. I don't know why I thought it was so funny the first time I saw it.

They had a pretty good idea, but they didn't execute it properly.
