The Shaggy Dog... Again... Hurrah...

I'm usually an optimist when it comes to remakes, sequels, and dentist visits, but news of a Shaggy Dog remake is a bit much.  Especially with it's oh so clever plot twists.  A father, married to his work!  Do you think he'll Learn Better while being a Furry?

This is the third time Disney's come back to this particular well.  Not too surprising, really.  They've remade The Absent Minded Professor thrice and The Love Bug at least as many times.

However, it's got me to thinking:  How soon until they start remaking their cartoons?  An all new Aristocats, say?  Probably never - cartoons are a bit more expensive - but it is a nasty little thought, isn't it?

No, they'll do the Aristocats as a live action-CGI film.

Hey, at least the last time they did "The Love Bug", they had the good sense to cast Bruce Campbell as the lead.

Everything's funnier with monkeys.
