If nothing else, the suger intake reduction has been realy helpfull, as my irritability has reduced, and my sleep has been better.

One thing that the reduction in carbs helps is reducing the blood-sugar spikes that lead to adult-onset diabetes in some people.  Since my dad suffers from this, it has me concerned about my future as well

Going places unmapped, to do things unplanned, to people unsuspecting

uhhhh....it was just a joke...not even a good one. How do you get p**sed off about a diet?

Everyone has potentially fatal flaws, but yours involve a love of soldiers' wives, an insatiable thirst for whiskey, and the seven weak points in your left ventricle.

They had a piece on the news the other day  that explains the very reason I hate seeing this kind of stuff take off. The food complanies and restaurants seeing  green because  people in this country have a tendency to go bonkers over this kind of thing.
Expect almost everything to have a low carb version in the near future. But  please remember that the people hawking this stuff don't give a hoot about your health.

It 's like a few years ago with all the low fat stuff. Basically food companies started loading stuff up with salt and sugar  and reducing the fat  and millions of people thought  that you could then run out stuff down twelve boxes of low fat cookies and still lose weight. .

I know people that have lost a lot of weight  on high protein diets. It apparently does work, but it is probably needs to be medically supervised.  Sometimes extreme problems need extreme solutions.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.
