976-EVIL 2 and scene altering

I couldn't figure out how to condense this down for the subject line, but here we go. I am only using 976-EVIL 2 as an example and am looking for other films that did something similar. In the film, they "borrow" a scene from It's a Wonderful Life and do one of the funniest, but still scary alterations of a film I have ever seen. If you aren't familiar with it, the little girl says something like when a bell rings, another person goes to hell and then the town folks turn into demons and kill the girl watching the movie. What other films did something like this and did anyone else get a kick out of that scene like I did?
