Took my 3-month old daughter to the doctor today.  She has officially DOUBLED her birth weight (9lbs6oz)...  something kids generally do not do until they're twice her age.  She is in the 99th percentile for height and weight.  My wife's wondering how big she's gonna get.  My 5 and 3 year old are starting to look a little nervous.  I'm penciling in "Basketball Scholarship" for her college fund.  Vollyball would work too.

Better get her started on the Atkins diet right away!

It was hilarious sitting there and having the doctor show us a chart showing normal baby growth and then our baby's growth.  For the briefest of seconds I felt as though I was the swaggering hero in a Bad Movie, my wife the scream queen, and the doctor the generic scientist guy.  I wanted to blurt out: "Can the scientific mumbo jumbo, professor!  How big can we expect this thing to get??"

And he'll reply "Remember those 'Clifford the Big Red Dog' Books?  It's something like that."

Better get her started with a nerf ball today.
