Sorry to use this board as just another  Q&A  board but I know some of you guys are big Fear Factory fans like me.I know Fear Factory broke up a while back but I keep hearing about them still touring.
So is Fear Factory back together or what? If they are do they have a new album or are they going to put another one out? Please I must know?

I like Fear Factory but had no idea that they had broke up.

Hmmmmm...

Here's the deal, Nick.  There was some bad blood, and Dino split.  The rest of the band decided to go their separate ways.  Then they decided to not go their separate ways.  Christian has moved to playing guitar, with Byron Stroud from Strapping Young Lad (a band that, if you haven't heard them already and like FF-style music, you need to go buy all their CD's NOW) playing bass for the new tour.  The new CD comes out April 20.  I've heard three tracks.  It's not as good as Obsolete or Demanufacture, the songs I heard had less of the synth/programming stuff us FF fans have grown to love, but it's way better than stupid crappy Digimortal.

Although I'm a big fan of FF as well, I didn't realize they had broken up.  I'm going to try and make it to a concert with them and Slipknot on April 4th in Myrtle Beach.

Also, thanks for the recommendation about SYL, Brother R.  I'll check them out.

Even more off topic I initially thought this thread was about the tv show "FEAR FACTOR", but mispelled. Then I had a total brainstorm!!!!!!!!

Not a speck of light is showing
So the danger must be growing
Are the fires of Hell aâ€"glowing
Is the grisly reaper mowing

Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing
And they're certainly not showing
Any signs that they are slowing

"Willy Wonka and the Fear Factory"

Imagine the possibilities as wonka forces these unwitting children to down pig ears and crickets to win..

Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with poo
Cover it in chocolate and an intestine or two
The candy man, the candy man can
The candy man can 'cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good

Ok, back to regular scheduled programming...

Nick - Fear Factory did a rap song because Christian Wolbers and B-Real are good buddies, and Christian writes a lot of the rock tunes that Cypress Hill perform.  If that "all hail the new flesh" at the bottom of your post is referring to the O-O Where Evil Dwells cover on Obsolete, check out the original version by Wiseblood.  Record's called Dirt Dish.  The tunes are quite different, but the original is really cool too.
Skaboi - I'm always happy to recommend kickass bands to people who appreciate them.  If you want to talk metal, I'm your guy.  Spin me an e-mail.

You also might want to check out Meshuggah, who Fear Factory blatantly ripped off in a Pantera-Exhorder sorta way (only difference being that Fear Factory knew enough to add the industrial sounds to the music so it sounds more like a VARIATION...but Pantera sucks).

I'm glad they got rid of Dino. That fatass really made me uneasy, for some reason.

And as the world began crumbling down
Nobody around seemed to care

Susan, I love the way your mind works. :)

Pantera was not the greatest band in the world, but I saw Superjoint Ritual a few months ago, and Phil (at least when he's blitzed on heroin) is one of the funniest people alive.
