Maybe not in the right place (it's a forum about b-movies after all) but tell me your opinion on the 3 Jeunet-Caro movies (Amelie, Delicatessen and City of the lost children)
Delicatessen is on this page so I think most people know it. I just bought Amelie and I loved it! Actually I loved all 3 of them, city being the most stylish, every scene looks like it's a painting, the colors are really great and it has a nice atmosphere that stays intact through the entire movie.
Delicatessen is almost as stylish as City, but it's a lot less serious with a lot of weird chain-reactions and a brilliant sense of humour.
Amelie is a very charming movie, it has a bit of a serious story but the way that story is handled and the characters are very comedic.

I had never heard about Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro before, but I must say these guys are GENIUS. The movies being spoken entirely in French doesn't matter all that much, in some strange way it adds to the atmosphere. If you loved Brazil you will at least love the last 2 movies (delicatessen and city) and probably Amelie too.

Well, I don't know why I posted this (It's pretty late here in Holland) but tell me what you guys think :)

I love AMELIE [best film of 2001 IMO] and DELICATESSEN.....CITY OF LOST CHILDREN I didn't enjoy quite as much for some reason.  I think it just took a while to get going.

I like all three films, and I even had fun with Alien: Resurrection, also by Jeunet and featuring Ron Perlman (City of Lost Children) and Dominique Pinon (City of Lost Children, Delicatessen).  I'd have to say City stands as my favorite.

I never knew alien: resurrection was directed by Jeunet :P
