A new Batman series is coming up. Unlike the first series (which is the best cartoon series ever! Screw Anime, Screw The Simpsons, and screw Family guy) this takes place when Batman first becomes the Batman. The creators thought of redoing the entire series (including getting rid of Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman, and losing Mark Hamill’s superb rendition of the Joker! WTH!!! ) so they make Batman into an amature and he is kinda sloppy when beating people up. Also about the entire voice thing, they practiacally got rid of all the origional voice actors for any of the DC series. So now we've lost alot of good voice actors but have some interesting casts. First off the Dark Knight is voiced by Rino Romano, never heard of him? All he did was some crappy movies (Iron Eagles 4) and voiced as Spider-Man!(video game) We have Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor Superman Animated series) as Mr. Freeze which is kinda cool. We have Mr. Dan "freakin' Homer Jay Simpson" Castellaneta on the team as Scarface. we now have Gina "can't sing for crap" Gershon as the leather clad  Catwoman. Adam "The Batman" West who oddly enough like in Family Guy is voicing a Mayor. Then there is the big one. The one I actuallly think it should have been done a while ago. Mr. Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund as the Riddler! Now if that ain't worth viewing then what is. So at the bottom line yeah alot of the classical voices are gone but hopefully the new ones will be just as good. I'll be tuned in when the series premiers  later this year.

It's probably to go along with the new movie.

As far as "screw anime" goes - I'm sorry, as good as Batman:  The Animated Series is, it doesn't beat the original Record of Lodoss War, or Vision of Escaflowne (unedited, original japanese version, not the crap they aired on TV here), or Neo Genesis Evangelion.

Or, for that matter, His and Her Circumstance, or any of a number of other series.

Just an opinion, of course, but I find it interesting that you're so ready to dismiss an entire genera for a series with virtually no ongoing storyline.
