hey all,

i've got some pics from the film fest in chicago of romero, jack hill, and mark borschardt and mike schank. How do you put pics in posts without using a link?

thanks,

I've only done it once on this board, but I think I remember. You'll need to put a little HTML in your post, and your photos will need to be on a server where they can be accessed.

If, for example, the location of your photo is www.pics.com/henry/chicago/picture.jpg then you will need to type http://www.pics.com/henry/chicago/picture.jpg" />

Hope it works.

Dude, you are my all time hero.  Not only did you get to meet some of the best directors of all time, you got to meet two of the coolest guys ever.  Man, PLEASE tell me you partied with Mike.  Did he have his guitar?

lol

Don't know about them being cool, but awesome guys from what I've seen.  Even if Mike is a little....you know.....Gone.

mike and mark don't party anymore...they brought their own supply of o'douls to the fest. i did smoke a couple of mike's home rolled smokes with him outside though though. he is exactly like he is in american movie. he told me a cool story about how he met lars ulrich. mark is just like the movie too. he told us a story of how he has to special order his trademark eyeglasses from jc penny's. i gave mark a booklet of short stories and he was like "man, you've got to sign it for me." he really enjoys his celebrity and is really nice. he had his 15 year old daughter in tow as well. i asked her if her school mates know that her dad is famous and she said not so much anymore but when he was on letterman all the time and stuff, they knew.

romero was totally cool too. and picking up jack hill and his wife from o'hare was an honor. dining with the crew was great.

in june loyd kaufman is coming to chicago. hopefully i can help out with that too.

Mr. Henry go to the bottom of the help page and see the codes (or brackets) used to post images, addresses, etc..

Like AndyC said about the having your images uploaded on a server (or webpage) only with the img before and after. the one after has the / before the img

Someone expained it very well after many tries on a post many months ago. I think it was Susan who came up with the best way to explain it. It's hard to explain and since it is code it won't show on our post if we put the code up. Hard to explain.

haha, the dudes from American Movie are truly righteous! Is Mark coming out with a new film anytime soon? I read a long time ago how he was working on a long poem that he wanted to adopt into a feature length film.

mr. henry

mark is working on a new feature. you can read about it at scarememovie.com

For anyone who wants to know

Place IMG in brackets. Then type in the weblink to the image. Then put /IMG in brackets at the end (including the slash to end the code)

See below. replace the < > with brackets [ ]  (as typing brackets will activate the code and you won't be able to see it for me to provide an example)
