I know no one has seen or cares to have seen this awesome Animal House knockoff, but the last topic I did had like 500 responses so I want to even things out here.  This movie had a great deal of decadence and was really gross.  The afformentioned fart contest, other things I don't want to give away.  The store I go to has been there forever and he stamps the movie card thing on the front ever time someone takes one out.  In 1988, for some reason, TONS of people took this one out, like every day.  People were basically camping out to rent King Frat.  It got a well deserved write up in VICE magazine (along with Revenge of the Cheerleaders, another classic) but I don't see it being re-released anytime soon.  What I like most about it is it's just exactly what you think it would be like.  There was no King.

Haven't seen King Frat (yet) but my favourite Animal House knockoff (Animal House is still the best) would have to be PCU. I'm not sure if I'd call it a knockoff as much as a look at what would become of a Delta-style fraternity in the politically correct 90s. There seemed to be a few movies striking back at PC around 1993, Falling Down being another favourite of mine.

Figured it might be interesting to see what other things he has directed.  To my suprise, I found he has directed quite a few semifamous films:
Return of the Living Dead 2...ick
A House In The Hills
Meatballs 2
He even directed the TV shows: Freddy's Nightmares and 21 Jump Street!  GO 80's!

The Bard

PCU was great. Its too bad that their (Writers) next movie was "Last Action Hero" I think it killed their career.

Gotta see this as the "Cheesepiece Theater" Comedy Central version. They catch the "Hardcore" Femininsts who shave their pits and had another good line along the lines of "What was the director thinking when he cast 30 year old Jeremy Piven as a College Student? Same thing the director of Beverly Hills 90210 was when he cast 27 year old Luke Perry as a high school student"

Although my favorite quote is

Pres. Garcia: You passed out cigarettes for a smoke-a-thon on Earth Day, you installed speed bumps on the handicapped ramps, and most recently, dumped 100 pounds of meat on a peaceful vegan protest!
Droz: Hey, c'mon - that was way more than 100 pounds!

Back in 93,94 movies actually took chances. Now they seem to hing on being safe enough to make 50 Mill in the first weekend and be able to squeeze two sequels out of them. How many movies really plain out bombed this summer?

A class act for sure.  and it's that little touch of class they remember you for.
