superman

This morning after I got off work, I was watching the news and heard about Mr reeves

I was brought  to tears, He was a great man, and despite being in a wheel chair

he was one of the bravest men out there today, and lesson could be learned from him

I just hope that they will continue to research spinal cord injury, and one day find

a cure.

with that said

rest in peace  SUPERMAN      The true sense of the word

Susan

It's a sad thing that he didn't live long enough to watch his kids grow up, or perhaps see more advances in science for these type of injuries. He was just so young, it's sad to see. But he did put a spotlight on spinal cord injury and did alot of good..i guess in away his injury made him a real superhero, for helping so many others. And he just didn't lay down and take it, it's so easy to become depressed and give up when things like that happen. And he didn't.  He knew that being famous could draw in money and attention, not just for him but for the whole. He must have been on alot of medications that wore his body down. It was just a sad twist of irony that the man of steel had such a fate.

I grew up watching Superman movies and tv. I was totally enamored with the movie version starring Reeve. He was the perfect Clark Kent and Superhero. I became obsessed with superman, I wanted to BE superman..and that's not easy for a 5 year old girl.  I remember after i saw the movie I put superman stickers all over my big wheel and would constantly leap out of tree's and pretend. Since he has been cast, there just IS no other person who could be superman in my mind. I loved the sequel and i forgive him for the "other" sequels. Other favorites? "deathtrap" with michael caine. And of course "Village of the Damned" - while few like the remake I did.  This is one actor who, athough it was probably the role that marked his career and he could never break away from, brought one of the best characters to the big screen.

And he was just a nice guy
