A few years ago, I was flipping channels and I ended up on BET. They were showing some vampire/voodoo movie with an all black cast. I looked up the title at the time, but now it's completely slipped my mind. All this time I've been thinking it was Scream Blacula, Scream, but I saw some of that one recently and it didn't look like the film I remember.

The movie I'm thinking of looked like it was made in the late 1970s or even early 1980s, low budget, but atmospheric and with a fair amount of emphasis on voodoo.

Here are the scenes I remember;

A candlelit room with a coffin at one end, and some sheer white curtains, possibly partitioning the room. I believe there were two people talking, possibly someone talking to a vampire in the coffin, but keeping their distance, like they were afraid to approach it. Also, I could be wrong about this, but I seem to recall that it takes place in a house that is more or less out in/near the country. I could swear I remember hearing crickets in the background and the whole thing gave me the impression of it being a hot summer evening.

At the end of the film, the good guys run through a/the house killing multiple vampires. I believe there was also a scene with an open grave under a tree and the use of a voodoo doll to kill one of the vampires. I saw a voodoo doll being used in Scream Blacula, Scream, but it didn't look like the scene I remember.

I suppose it's possible that it was SBS, because I only got to see bits and pieces of that and I've never seen the entire movie, but what little I did see didn't seem to fit with the tone of what I remember. I've also checked the IMDB and there were only two mainstream films with "Blacula" in the title (and one porno).

Can anyone tell me what movie this is?

"Scream Blacula, Scream" dates from the early seventies (if I'm correct) and it starred Pam Grier as the voodoo priestess. So if it is SBS, you'd surely remember her, wouldn't you?

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Possibly, but not definitely. I don't *THINK* she was in the movie I saw.

Maybe SUGAR HILL AND HER ZOMBIE HITMEN, but I don't think that had vampires in it.

Although I don't remember a lot of it, I seem to recall that the one I saw was more serious than most of the 70's "blaxploitation" movies. I don't recall seeing anyone dressed like a pimp, wearing platform boots, or using 70's slang.
