The Bouncer

As 2004 draws to a close i decided to choose my top 5 movies of the year.
I have not seen a lot of movies i wanted to as i have been busy a lot this year but here it goes.
1.Seed of Chucky, well i have been a follower of this franchise for 6 years and easily seen as my most anticipated and favourite movie of the year.
2.Last samurai, one of my favourite genres is past time war films and for this release it was a treat.
3.kill bill 2.Loved the first,loved the second.
4.Hellboy.i wasn;t really a fan of the comics but the movie is better than most  cgi production which are being vastly released.
5.Van Helsing, never thought it would  turn out as well as it did,but with a mix of horror, action and adventure it couldnt  of possibly turned out bad.

My two favorites of this year have been:

1. Shaun Of The Dead - Hilarious and fresh view of the zombie genre.

2. Haute Tension - Extremely disturbing, wildly entertaining "slasher".

Hopefully Shaun of the Dead will be on the list (got the DVD for Christmas from my brother so I'll most likely watch it before New Years)

Along on the list is: Dawn of the Dead (a surprise that it was a good remake)

Kill Bill Vol 2:Great Spagehtti (ms) westernish movie whoo wee!

I'm sure Godzilla would have been on the list if I got around to seeing it in it's limited theater presentation (damnit!!)

Spider-Man 2: Kickass one of the best Superhero movies that ranks among the proud lines of Superman 1 and 2, Batman 1 and 2, and a few other great and good superhero movies.

The Incredibles: Loved it great familiy film Pixar looks to be the next disney at this rate (ineffitable if Disney continues with the s**tty video sequals)

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Completely forgot about Napoleon Dynamite.  I rented it Wed. and it's a fantastic comedy.  One of the best in years.

DAWN [2004]
KILL BILL v. 2
SHAUN OF THE DEAD

Those were really the only movies I saw this year that made me say, "Wow, that was a really good movie!" as I walked out of the theater.
