I am looking for an old movie I saw on cable once. I don't have a title but it's about an old fisherman who kills people and strings them up under the pier like fish. anyone got a clue?

How old of a movie are you thinking? There was a 1983 movie called THE MUTILATOR in which the old man hung his victims on hooks (I believe) in the basesment/garage of his fishing retreat.

I love for ANYONE to mention the Mutilator.  Personal favorite of mine.  I know the director, Buddy Cooper quite well (he's a local).  Great to hear someone mention it!

Although not really a favorite of mine THE MUTILATOR does have some pretty well done effects for a low budget film. I do like the tagline (I'll probably get it out of order): By Hook, By Axe, By Pick, Bye Bye.
