A I Assault: another SciFi Channel Original

Again, SciFi Channel shows us that ALL military operations involve someone, WAY up the chain of command, that thinks nukes are the solution to everything. It also shows that lasers can be dodged, dingy blonde hotties always fall for creepy criminal types, and that scientific experiments that have the potentiol to go rogue andtake over the world, are often transported long distances while at their most critical state.  As always, the dingy hottie is blonbe, the brainiac hottie is brunette.

Not much else I can say about this movie, except the CG looked cartoony at times, and the plot was, , well, I was going to compare it to a SciFi original, but you probably guessed that. Not sure how it ended though, I just couldn't handle the last 1/2 hour or so. .

I really liked the way they played up George Takei being in this and then he gets killed before the credits are over.  Robert Picardo and Michael Dorn are in this too, it's a Star Trek reunion movie.  Guess they all had car payments due.

I have a review of this one written, which should get posted around November.  It was a bad one.  The characters were annoying, stuff did not make sense, and, as always, it is the ex-military guy with a heart of gold who saves the day.

At least they didn't go on with the sad story about how a bunch of corrupt leaders drummed him out of teh service for doing the RIGHT thing or such, or did I miss that part?

I sat through most of this. . . I couldn't help thinking how much it felt like a retread of CURSE OF THE KOMODO - particularly the ending.

I also enjoyed how anything dealing with the A.I. thingamajigs' internal workings was referred to as a "matrix".  Data matrix, electronic matrix, etc. etc. etc.

It is a retread of Curse of the Komodo, as well as Komodo vs. Cobra.  Same sets, same plots, several of the same actors in all three, and the same director, Jim Wynorski.
