I found this site while strolling around on monster movie sites. Here's hoping you can help me! :)

A friend of mine at work is driving me crazy, trying to remember the name to a movie he saw back in the 80's.

The only bits that he can remember is that it is a futuristic tale, with people living underground in some kind of complex or bunker. There are creatures that attack the bunker and kidnap the women, in order to breed with them.

Not much to go on, I know. I wish he could remember at least one actor or a bit of the title or anything!

Does this sound like anything that you recognize?

Thanks in advance!

This actually sounds quite familiar...seems like I've seen the flick but I can't quite place it at the moment.

I'm sure one of the other regulars on the board can assist further.

Thank you for reading anyway!

it could be various versions of the 'Time Machine'

ladyeleri

Hmm, not sure. I wonder if there was a version in the 80s. I'll ask him tomorrow at work if that sounds familiar.

Thanks!

TV movie maybe, or pilot for failed tv series.  I seem to remember it as well but can't give you details

Several titles come to mind;
The Terror Within (1989)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096246/
After a virus has wiped out most of mankind, a group of scientists hides out in an underground bunker. Meanwhile, the surface is plagued by a bunch of guys in lizard suits. Then one day, the scientists rescue a young woman from the monsters, only to discover that she's been knocked up by one of them. She gives birth to a bouncing baby ghoul, and all hell breaks loose.

Hybrid (1997)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0119339/
I haven't seen this one, but Andrew has reviewed it on this site. From what I understand, there's a scene in which Brinke Stevens gets molested by one of the monsters.

Horror Planet (1981) A.K.A. Inseminoid
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084090/
Andrew has reviewed this one also. In the distant future, a group of British astronauts find an ancient tomb on another planet, thus releasing an alien monster. The monster abducts & impregnates a member of the crew, then she goes nuts an starts killing everyone.

Forbidden World (1982) A.K.A. Mutant
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083959/
Check out the Reader Reviews section on this site. A group of scientists in space develope an alternate food source, but it turns into a monster and decides to eat them instead. Albeit, the monster doesn't actually try to breed with any of the women on the crew, but the innuendo is presented a couple of times during encounters between the women & the monster.

There's prabably a few others I could think of, but that's all I have for now.
Hope it helps

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll compile them all and give them to my friend. Hopefully one of them is the one he is thinking of.

If not - at least it should keep him busy for awhile! :)

Thanks everyone!

2xSlick

I'd say it could be Corman's "The Terror Within." The main character had a crossbow and a dog, neither of which worked very well against the monsters, called gargoyles. Also has George Kennedy in it.
