SPANGLISH (2004) - Good film starring Adam Sandler, Paz Vega, and even Cloris Leachman. It's the story of a Mexican women and her daughter to cross the border to later start  working for an American family with some problems. A non Hollywood ending for this one where I personally felt it could have used one. (How's that for a change.) Other than that the film was a good dramatic comedy.

How was Paz Vega? She's one of the top Spanish actresses these days and everybody was shocked when she accepted the role, as she had never mentioned she wanted to start a career in the US.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I thought that Vega did very well in the film.  She's quite a beautiful actress.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

She was awesome!
In my opinion she was the center of the film.

The film would've been ten times worse without her.
She was the staple that held it all together.
I enjoyed every one of her scenes.
In the scenes that she wasn't in, I kept wanting her to show up.

She and Sandler did have a certain chemistry too.

Not a great film....but good because of her & Sandler.

i wonder why all spanish actors that begin a Hollywood career have always to play the role of mexicans or colombians. there´re things in this world that i will never understand.

Neville

Well, there's not many Spanish people in the US, so I guess it's inevitable. I do have problems with most of them playing drug dealers, though. C'on, I've heard there are some hispanics in the US who managed to get a job not involving drug dealing!

This said, Jordi Mollà was absolutely hilarious in "Bad Boys II".

P.S: This situation reminds me of a humour TV program that showed Penelope Cruz being assaulted by their reporter, who wanted to have her back in Spain at any cost, even if that involved turning their characters into Colombians or Mexicans.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
