am i the only person who's looking forward to this? i mean, i'm not busting at the seams waiting for it to come to theatres, but i think it certainly has the potential to be pretty fun. i mean, it's absurd from the get-go. perhaps NOTLD is going to try and challenge KING KONG for the title of "most times re-made/re-envisioned"...

Dunners

Wouldn't watch this s**t even if I had a gun to my head. They commited the greatest sin here by making Ben..WHITE. That changes the entire film.
save the world, kill a politician or two.

Ouch. Bad move. Though not the 'point' of the movie, Ben being a black man who wields power is a theme that Romero desperately wanted in his film. That was a directorial choice and I could maybe see how a director might be able to work around the change, but only if they are very competent at dealing out some new and equally provocative conflicts as Ben being black in the original.

Though I doubt they really had that in mind. It is in 3D afterall. 3D!!!

exactly. of COURSE this movie is going to be bad. i'm just excited about the absurdity of it all. i'm interested to know, dunners, did you see the "assault on precinct 13" remake, or the "dawn of the dead" remake?

Mr_Vindictive

I rather liked the Dawn Of The Dead remake.

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to this NOTLD remake.  I had no idea about it until now, and I just checked out some of the 3d screenies using some 3d glasses that came with my daughter's Shrek 3D dvd.  Looks very very promising.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.
