Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

Actually, it seems to be a sequel. I'm not sure that isn't worse.

You got a link to this info we can look at?

Do you think that maybe they'll use CG to make this rather than puppets? ;)

Meh.  Never much cared for the original....

Do a quick search for info on the internet.  At the moment it looks like Genndy Tartakovsky is attached to direct the film.  He's the mind behind Samurai Jack and the Clone Wars cartoons.  Sounds like a pretty good choice to me, but like I said, I never much cared for The Dark Crystal.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Yeah, DC is very much an acquired taste - you either like it or you don't. Me, I like it a lot. But I don't know what to think of someone making a sequel or remake.

They have an article about this on Scifi Wire right now, as well as Ain't It Cool News. It's definitely not a remake, it's a sequel. I really enjoyed the first film, and I have a lot of faith in this sequel. Jim Henson productions is usually always on top of their game. I don't really care for their biggest franchise attraction, the muppets, but "Farscape" was fantastic, as well as some of their lesser known stuff, like "The Storyteller" and "Guliver's Travels". Plus, with Genndy Tartakovsky directing, they're really have to try hard to screw this up.

Their recent film MIRRORMASK was good too.  I'm confident that a well made sequel is a possibility.  I love the original.

Could be decent, I loved Samurai Jack.   It was so neat to see a non-japanese styled action cartoon.  I was gonna re-watch it tonight, oddly enough.
My recent interest in Anime aside, it is a bit pervasive these days. Plus, not evey hero has to be big eyed, fine boned, and have a zero-gee hairdo.  I think Genndy Tartakovsky ddoes some pretty good stuff, and I liked the original Dark Crystal too.

Disney owns the Muppets franchise now, if you can believe it. Kermit not being a part of Jim Henson productions weirds me out.

I can't wait to see "Mirror Mask." The trailer looks fantastic. I wish it would've hit the theaters in a wide release. I'll have to wait to grab it on DVD.
