DVD empire's got a 2 fer $15 sale on some movies, the only ones that look promising to me are
"Conquest of Space"
"Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell" and
"I Married a Monster from Outer Space" (three slimes from Andrew)
Great titles all, but anyone have any thoughts on the first two?  Worth getting, worth $7.50 each?

I wouldn't mind seeing Conquest of Space, it was produced by George Pal (Destination Moon, War of the Worlds.  I haven't seen it in years, but I know that the ship is based on a design by Werner von Braun and the matte painting were based on Chesley Bonestell's work (just like Destination Moon).

I can't remember the plot, but this is one of those where that comes in second to the outstanding effects they were able to pull off. There is a burial in space scene that was duplicated as Spock's burial  in Star Trek TWOK.

I don't know about the Frankenstein one, but I Married a Monster is actually pretty good.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Andrew

There are a couple there that are interesting, though I have many of them.  I would agree with Trek that "Conquest of Space" is interesting, though many might not believe it worth buying.  "I Married a Monster from Outer Space" is great.

Some notables I saw during a scan:
Barbarella
Bug
Graveyard Shift
Orca
Prophecy
Tales from the Darkside
