I paid $39 and change to fill the tank in my Toyota Camry the other day.  I have never broken the $40 mark at the gas station, but I expect that I will very soon.

Living in europe, I spend like 50 US$ to fill my 47 liter tank. I'm thinking on buying the fuel from eBay or something.

Prices here for a litre of petrol is AU$1.39 or so, which equates now to about a $60 full tank for me which lasts around a week or so, though I must admit, I'm not driving around as much anymore [don't need to drive girlfriend places due to current lack of girlfriend!] so I guess technically I'm saving more money/petrol.

Ironically, just tonight, I was thinking of going to go get petrol, but decided not to, and to get it later, and got in a minor car accident coming home [got hit from behind]  

Let that be a lesson to you all who refuse the power of the big oil giants: if you don't buy, they'll still find a way to screw ya!

Re:  global dimming, part of China's problem is that they've deforested a lot of their west, so now there are huge dust storms that reach all the way to Beijing.

One more thing to worry about is that the earth's magnetic field has decreased by about 10% over the last century.  It has been unusually stable over the last few millenia, not flipping on its usual cycle.  If'when it does flip, it will "power down" first, exposing us to lots of solar radiation, and then apparently the reveresed poles will play havoc with all our electronic gizmos.
We're doomed, doomed I tell ya.  Doooooomed.

I avoid all of the vamps. But the shabbos and the tradcucks I hear are not so easily warded or fended off. Not by garlic and not by zombie popeye tattoos and not by Cole Hauser cologne. The actor Cole Hauser kind of bothers me. I have always wondered if he was some kind of paranormal entity. He plays one so well in the movies. When you get sleep deprived, just about anything can become some kind of creepy thing — like stuck in a perpetual Exxon Valdez oil spill. There's also that dreaded thing called the creeper which invades olive vats and can bounce basketballs. Cognitive behavioral therapy? Perhaps we have to have zombies and for them and vampires, write separate checks. Ah prudent measures, prudent measures.
I think vampires could be a nice change of pace. We live in blasphemous times. Its almost like hidden. Just even knowing that Konami made this.
It's like the old "God Bless you Glenn" when you come on with a chat handle named Alucard. Ok. I reverse my stance, actually I loathe vampires. I take the zombies.

Yeah, so the young of whale sharks develop inside of eggs, but why can't the zombies like Eric Adams or Alethea Duncan develop anywhere. It is dimming.

This was a timely bump. Gas back over $4 in WNY, and like "Dean" (whose avatar is da bomb), above,  I too just got rear-ended on my way home from work.

Yay. I finally did something right!

"Project Blue Beam" picture — I pulled from the Web is actually the Eskimo nebula.

I guess it is more politically correct to get the Eskimo nebula picture, something that is of course in outer space and hundreds of light years from earth and call it "Project Blue Beam." Because saying the word Eskimo would be offensive to eskimos or people. I mean I didn't name it that. Scientists did. I feel like there is some irony there though. We have to be so conscience constantly of what we say and how we say it, that the big picture things swamp us. Like Gas prices. Hey I could be wrong, perhaps gas prices are something that will always be out of our call and jurisdiction.

Yeah it is weird when you get into Gas price discussions with people nowadays. Like if they are several states away from you. Almost like they want to pretend like Four dollars a gallon is cheap. Or they quickly change the subject. We are magnificently burnished in our Stockholm Syndrome. I have been rear ended too. I feel like the rear ending phenomenon is actually a sign of denial in people.


If you have to buy your next tank of gas from people who look like this..Then. Well anyway I think that this is where it is heading.

It's about $3.59 here in Texas right now.  Just before Trump started his useless war with Iran, it was down to about $2.19 - not as cheap as it was during COVID, but quite livable.  It shot up to nearly $4 a gallon here right after the Iran war started, but it's settled down some since then.
