HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY directed by Fulci is a bit better than SEVEN DOORS OF DEATH. It worked better for me. I liked the monster in the basement named Dr. Freudstein at the end. The music in SEVEN DOORS OF DEATH just turned me away, perhaps if they changed that I may have been able to enjoy it more, but I hope to give SEVEN DOORS OF DEATH another chance because you people here seem to hold it in high regards.

Lucio Fulci's "Seven Doors Of Death" aka "The Beyond" is one of his best films, and it's an Italian Horror film classic. You should give it another try. The Diamond DVD of "Seven Doors Of Death" is the same Uncut version that Anchor Bay has released, and the music is the same as well.

Scott, what did you think of the transfer of "Seven Doors Of Death" on the Diamond DVD, good picture and sound quality? I hear that it looks great, and you can own it for such a great price.

I'm a pretty big fan of Fulci, but I'll admit there are several films he made that I wouldn't watch again if I had to. The Beyond has a certian style to it, the story and pace is excellent. I think I like A Touch of Death best - it's a black comedy about a loser gambler/playboy who marries ugly women and kills them to collect thier money.

I would warn people about New Gladiators - this movie is unwatchable!

Yes, the quality of the Diamond Entertainment DVD is very good, but then I don't have anything else  to compare it to.
