Right?

I suppose I should have listed the model number of my DVD system.  Sorry about that.
And the amplifier is built into the main unit.  It's either 800 or 1000 watts...I forget.
So you're saying that it would be a better idea to use component cables with the 360?

I'll eventually set everything up when I get the 360 so I may need your advice later on.
You should see the absolute mess of dozens of cables behind my TV. 
I've got coax going into it, 3 sets of RCA's, S-video for the DVD recorder...it seems almost endless.
To add something like an Xbox 360 into the mix will be a monumental undertaking. 
I'm going to have to pretty much disconnect everything and reset it all up from scratch.
I need to get some of those cord organizers.   Those hollow tubes with a long slit down the side that you can tuck your cables into.
