Yesterday was my daughter's first time watching the film.  She's only 3, and I figured I might as well start her with it early.

This is one of those rare films that I can watch 5-6 times in the weeks leading up to Christmas and not get tired of it.  It's a great film to sit down and watch or just have playing in the background while doing various things around the house.

Love the scene with the younger brother hiding in the kitchen crying because he believes their father is going to kill Ralphie.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

OT:
"When I was a little boy, my dad was working on the car one day, and he said something that I'll always remember. Of course, I can't repeat what it was he said, but I'll always remembewr it." - Me

Okay, what actually happened was, my dad was working on the car one day, and I asked if I could help him. He replied, "You just stand there & give words of encouragement, & I'll say the other kinda' words."

My favorite line is, "FUUDDDDGGE, but I didn't say that, I said the queen mother of all dirty words" had a similar experience at about that age only in front of my mom, she then told my father, unfortunately for my gluteous maximus he believed in something other than soap. I laugh so hard I cry every time I see that scene.

Ozzymandias

Ozzymandias speaks: My favorite scene is after that when he has the soap in his mouth and Jean Shepherd says "I became a conisuer (sp) of soaps."

There is a store in Branson called Dick's Old Time 5 & 10. They had some left over Lifeboy bars for $4. These things small like vodka mixed with ammonia and Clorox. I can only imagine having it in your mouth. I like how he says Ivory has a buttery taste.
