The family got me a bunch of excellent cinema. I landed a copy of A Scanner Darkly, which almost completes my Philip K. Dick collection. I haven't gotten Blade Runner yet cause I figure with the 25th anniversary in 2007 there will be some super-deluxe-unrated-with-curly-fries special edition. I also got Star Wars part 4 with the original edition, the latest X-Men movie, and Wifey decided to go for an extra - she got me a copy of Demolition Man on DVD.
This movie is just so darn silly that I can't help but watch it whenever it's on TV...it's wierd to finally see it in widescreen again, since my vhs tape was pan & scan. This is another step towards replacing the VHS tapes with DVDs.

I also got my Playstation 3, just having wayyyyy too much fun with that. Unfortunately I can't play Guitar Hero on it yet, but I am sure they'll make an adaptor.

A book on Buddhism also came for me, a nice gift to mellow me out during the afternoons. Also the standard clothing, gift cards to Blockbuster & Best Buy found their way into my stocking.

A good haul, to be sure  :teddyr:

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'
