I think these komodos need to leave this cruise.

« on: December 31, 2006, 04:42:13 PM »

I remember when I was a bit younger I saw this movie on Tv. I think it was about a murderous clown, but I can only recall two scenes:

1. This girl is in bed. She lives in a wooden cabin out in the woods. She wakes up for whatever reason and looks to the window. There's a freaky-looking clown with a big freaky smile on his face looking back at her.  She starts screaming, the clown starts laughing.

2. A guy and his girl are in what looks like a room in the same cabin. They're searching for something, looking scared. Then out comes the clown, laughing in a oddly deeper voice than before, not to mention creepier make-up than before, meaning this may be a differant clown. The twosome freak out and the clown just runs off.

Does anyone know what movie this is? I think it might be IT, but my memory is still sort of sketchy. I'm pretty sure is wasn't Killer Klowns From Outer Space or Clownhouse. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

A possible, that I have not seen, but know of is "Slaughterhouse II."  Your post actually made me go check if it is available on DVD yet.  No dice, but the first movie has been released on DVD.

RCMerchant,

That looks like a good lead.  I was able to find the name "Blood Harvest" via the IMDB.  You've now given me a film to add to my "see these" list and possibly the OP's movie.

EDIT: found a review with a picture of Tiny Tim in clown makeup:

Blood Harvest? That could be it. Keep in mind, though, I saw the film back in the mid-90s, so those two scenes I mentioned might not play out the way I described them. Thanks anyway, though!

I saw most of Blood Harvest on TV a long time ago, but don't recall the scenes mentioned.  So, I don't think it is that one.

CoreyHeldpen, i think it is most definetly "Within the Woods" there is a clown killer, but one is just acting for a reality show then there is one real one killing people at a camp this can explain two clowns and the cabin.

No, I saw this flick on Tv long before 2005, when "Within The Woods" came out, around 1998. Sounds pretty close, though.

Interesting possibility is that "Within the Woods" is a sequel to "Camp Blood."

Plot:  A couple of friends are chased by a killer clown in the woods during a week-end.

Movie:  S.I.C.K. (Serial Insane Clown Killer)

I'm afraid that "S.I.C.K" appears to be too recent, per the description.

I did run across another candidate recently:

The Clown Murders (1976)

Hi there,

new member here from the UK. Now I remember this from seeing it on VHS back in the mid 80's after reading IT. I think it's The Clown Murders purely on the fact that John Candy is in that truly jaw droppingly bad film with killer clowns in the woods. Oddly, clowns along with werewolves absolutely freak me out. Unfortunately, one of them exists in real life.

I haven't seen it in a while but was it Stephen King's "It?" All I remember was that it starred John Ritter and John Boy from the "Waltons."
