Which film of Steven Seagal's ever growing filmography would you consider to be his best?

I can't remember exactly which movie it was, but it's the one he's not in very long where he croaks.  I'm wanting to say Broken Arrow but I don't think that's it.

I voted 'other', and what a great movie title it was.

Even though I like Seagal movies, well basically the way he beats up on bad guys, the downside is that they seem to run together (now was this scene in this movie or that movie).

Being that Belly of the Beast was the best of the recent crop of Seagal films (and you did not list them) which compares well with his earlier films, I would vote for it. It is one of the few Seagal films where he does not cake walk through it and has to face off against dangerous opponents; not to mention that it is wall-to-wall action.

Glimmer Man is one I like a lot as it has an undercurrent of humor not in some of his other films; and, for me, it is more memorable and has less duplication.

Just my opinions.

I voted for the first "Under Siege".
I've always liked that movie.

One other thing, in case any of you have never noticed...
Put the words, "Steven Seagal is..." in front of most of his early film titles.

Steven Seagal is...Under Siege
Steven Seagal is...Marked For Death
Steven Seagal is...Above the Law

Sorry, but I didn't think that my opinions were that important in things like this.   :twirl:

Anyway, I would have to agree with you that Belly of the Beast was actually pretty decent.  Disregarding that he's still getting a stunt double half his current girth to do a lot of the more intense fight moves, I thought it was entertaining.    

I'll edit the poll to include that.

Plus, Into the Sun wasn't that bad.  Certainly is way better than stuff like The Foreigner and The Patriot.

But my favorite of his will always be Marked for Death.  Hard to Kill would be a close second.

I realize that he's going to be turning 57 this year, but that's just no excuse for him to let himself go in terms of all the weight he's had on himself for the last decade.

Look at some of the other action starts of his era and they're for the most part in really good shape.

I updated the poll to include Executive Decision, Belly of the Beast and Into the Sun.

Let me know if there's any others that should be on there.

I try to keep the polls limited more to the expected titles to a certain degree.  Don't want them being too large.  If I listed all of Steven's movies to date, man talk about a poll.   :hot:

Marked for Death is the only Segal movie I think is any good.

Man, it's been so long since I've seen any of them, that I don't even remember what they were about! I suppose I'll just go with Above the Law. I can remember seeing that in the theater as one half of a double feature. The other half was that horror movie Prison.

Never been a big fan of Seagal. None of his movies really caught me attention. So I go Executive Decision Supsrised and happy he croaks.  :tongueout:

I voted for Out for Justice because of all the Steven Seagal movies I've seen, which would be most but not all, I liked it the most, I would like his movies more if he just beat up on the bad guys and didn't try to actually act or talk.  :bouncegiggle:

What's the one where he fights arctic animals, such as referenced in a Family Guy? A friend of mine, no joke, watched it in her philosophy class. I took that class, but we didn't watch that. Too bad too...
