Well I don't know if you have a Movie Gallery where you live but if you do our local MG has a sale on older and overstock titles they are clearing out that did not rent within the last year for 5 DVD's for $15.00

I got for $30.00

Save the Green Planet (Some odd looking Korean Film)
Terror Firmer 2 disc set (Troma)
The Mummy an' the Armadillo
Re-Animator
Beyond Re-Animator
Horror High
Master of Horror Collection 1
Master of Horror Collection 2
Singing in the Rain (Yeah the one with Gene Kelly - what about it?)
Around the Bend (2004 Christopher Walkin Flix)

So if your store if you have one is having a sale, happy hunting. I saw a few others I passed on but just might have to go back for more, at $3.00 each ... you can't rent them for that.

Wow, that's a pretty nice deal.  Save the Green Planet is supposed to be pretty messed up (a good deal of torture scenes).  Hopefully the Movie Galleries where I live are having the sale.

There are two near where I live, might have to break down and see what I can get. The smaller one has no selection to speak of, for rent or for sale. The other is better, but even the genre stuff is weak, lots of the recent glut of really not fun to watch DTV.

They have a copy of Save the Green Planet, been eyeing that one.

Thought about getting a copy of Stander, good Thomas Jane flick based on a true story.

They had a bunch of priced to sell copies of The Ballad of Cable Hogue but all four were gone the next time I was there.

Maybe Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Ice Harvest will be cheap.

blah blah stuff blah blah obscure pop culture reference blah blah clever turn of phrase blah blah bad pun blah blah bad link blah blah zzzz.....

I thought that it was a comedy of some sorts.  Haven't seen it yet but have been wanting to though.

Cheeze!  My friend!  Put down all that you are doing and watch Save The Green Planet ASAP!  It's fantastic!  I bought an import of it about a year ago on DVD and it's well worth watching.  Very funny torture film...if that makes any sense.

I like Terror Firmer. Well some of it anyway. There are other parts that are beyond disgusting.

Well I'm going to go back by there today and see what other teasures I can find, I have got to get something for the family too. Can't be greedy and just get what I like. The store near me had at least 2000 on the 5/$15 rack and out of those I'd say 500 different titles. Some times small towns have there benifits! I stopped by one (MG) the other day in a larger town and they had the same sale and the titles were heavily picked over, nothing worth having I didn't already have.

Pilgermann

I stopped by a local Movie Gallery and they had a small rack of films with this deal.  I got these:

Matchstick Men -- The only one I'd seen already.
In America -- Heard good things.
Spanglish -- Probably crap, but I thought it'd be worth a shot.
The Aviator -- Just watched this today and I loved it.
Save the Green Planet -- I watched this today, too.  It was fantastic!  A brief description of the plot really doesn't prepare you for everything that happens.  It's very unique, and even kind of heartbreaking.

I'm gonna have to make another trip to a different location and see what they've got.

I'm going to chime in and also express my admiration for Save the Green Planet.  South Korea is putting out a surprising abundance of excellent, albeit twisted, films.
