This week, where I live, we just had our first temperature reading of 100 F. And normally does not happen to July or August. It's going to be a long hot summer I fear.

50 F today!  :buggedout: but it felt colder because of strong chilly wind. We got a few blankets (!) to keep us warm during our BBQ.
I don't like heat but this was very unusual since its the middle of July.

It was a typical Phoenix, AZ day yesterday, about 107. It's supposed to cool down to about 99 in the next couple of days. If you live in Phoenix in July, this is actually pretty comfortable.

Thisis the first day that we've broken 80!  The Northwest has been 60-75 all through this, and only 7 days where its been above 80 all year and 1 above 90.

We were at around 105 or something today.  Heat index was 114.

Hot in Oklahoma and it seems we are stuck in some hot air cycle that prevents much from entering into the state.
Ah, the good old days.

If I hadn't gone to my sister-in-law's pool today, I would have gone to a matinee.  It was so hot, sitting in the air-conditioned dark with a distracting movie would have been a great respite...  But, it was the pool in Toms River, NJ; at around 3:30 the clouds converged and it rained.  After the rain passed, the temperature dropped 20 degrees!!!  When we got home it had not rained here and was still 100 degrees.   :bluesad:

Germany  :teddyr: They say the summer is pretty much over with here and I wouldn't mind. It was very hot and humid the past two weeks, then we got rain for three days and now the temperatures have dropped. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt yesterday.

In Minnesota it's been in the low to mid '90s all week, which probably isn't too unusual for this part of July.  But the humidity, good lord.  They said heat indexes were in the 110-115 range.  Every morning the basement windows are covered in condensation, you do anything outside and your shirt is soaked in sweat in 5 minutes.  I mowed the lawn last Sunday - at nine in the morning - and I was sweating so much the lawn mower handle kept slipping out of my hands.

It's been getting better the last couple of days, and I think it's finally supposed to cool off (a bit) next week.

88 at the moment but it wouldn't surprised me if it reaches the high 90s here in Wisconsin.
