That is good news, because this one is long overdue for a nice DVD release. A lot of people have good memories of the movie.

idk if any of you guys live in jersey but there is a convention that i go to called Monster Mania ( monstermania.net ) and there is going to be a monster squad reunion there with the director and cast. its in cherryhill, which is about an hour from me (Toms River/Dover) anyway im going specifically for this actually and i just thought id share if anyones interested.

More Monster Squad DVD news:

The DVD is set for an October release and will include deleted scenes (should be a bunch since thirteen minutes were shaved from the film's original, pre-theatrical cut), an audio commentary with the surviving cast members (Brent "Fat Kid" Chalem is sadly no longer in this mortal coil), and interviews with various folks involved with the film! (Not bad, but I NEED more!)

In other "Monster Squad" DVD news, the disc's producers are apparently planning on having NEW cover art and I for one will have none of that! If you're a big fan of the film like I am, visit Andre' "I was Sean Crenshaw in the Monster Squad" Gower's website (www.andre-gower.com) and drop him a line saying "HELL NO" to new cover art!
