HOUSE OF THE DEAD (1978) a.k.a. Alien Zone - This is a TALES OF THE CRYPT type film that contains four stories of terror and a fifth story that come about by the end of the film. A mortician played by Ivor Francis tells these tales to some guy who gets left in the rain by a taxi driver and is invited into the funeral home. The first story actually scared me for the first time in a very long time until the ending.  The second story with the photographer was lame. The third story with the two detectives was ok, and the last  story with the uncaring person was ok. The acting is actually good, but the stories are mediocre ones. The story I liked the most was the first one. Why does the imdb.com title is ALIEN ZONE when it has absolutely nothing to do with aliens?

(6 out of 10 Stars)  Passable Horror stories. Just watch the first story if you start getting bored.
