Well...looks like May will be an expensive month for me.  Among other things I need to pay for, two of my top five artists are releasing new material in the same month.

Bjork's new album, "Volta" and Tori Amos's new one, "American Doll Posse"

From what I've found so far, Volta will have musical influences from all over the globe from African soundscape, to Arctic, to Chinese - should be interesting.

Tori's new one, on the other hand, I'm more skeptical over as her last work, "The Beekeeper" was pretty lackluster.   I mean, I've been a die-hard fan since Earthquakes and I think I listened to the Beekeeper a total of twice.  But it's 20+ songs so there's bound to be something good on it.

Also, on a side note, Ween is also releasing a new album very soon for those that might be interested.

I'm anxiously awaiting to the new Rush and Megadeth albums myself.

hopefully Bjork's new CD is an improvement over her last one.

I got to see Tori Amos live one time back during 1993 I believe.  My girlfriend at the time was a huge Amos fan so I got us tickets to go to it.  While I don't really care for how she sings, she has a ton of talent and put on a hell of a show.

I can't even remember the last time I bought a new CD by a new band...I think the last CD I bought for me was an instrumental by the BOMBORAS,kinda like the Ventures updated.

I have yet to get Bjork's last "soundtrack" album, Drawing Restraint 9, but I have a few tracks from it.  A lot of people didn't like Medulla but I thought it was ok.   This newest of hers is supposed to have some dance-like tracks of her mid 90s era infused with modern worldly sounds.

Just received my new Nine Inch Nails album from a coworker - gotta say I'm loving it so far -very minimalist and I like it that way.   Also, Ween's new one will be out soon as well as Rasputina for those that are interested.
