Saw this last night on IFC.Great Russ Meyer 60's timepiece, with fun music by the fake band Carrie Nation, and the real Strawberry Alarm Clock, big breasted,(and frequently topless!) beauties, drugs, bloody murders, and groovy hippy slang. With the usual Meyer eccentrics, weirdest being Z-man,aka Super Woman(!),who spouts more obscure nonsense than Dennis Miller.

Story and Screenplay by Roger Ebert!

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Dr. Whom

An amazing movie. It starts out as a normal exploitation flick, and then, all of sudden, there is this seriously weird finale. A Classic.
"Once you get past a certain threshold, everyone's problems are the same: fortifying your island and hiding the heat signature from your fusion reactor."

Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! ... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput.

Watched this the other night on IFC; fast moving trash.  Good or bad, it's certainly unforgettable!

Ya know, i bet saying that to Roger would have the same effect a cross or Holy water has on a vampire.
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Which is kinda funny...cuz not so later,he wrote a scathing review of NIGHT of the LIVING DEAD...in READER's DIGEST, I believe, and b***hed about how violent and evil it was! Friggen hyporcrite. And I notced in copies I have of DEATHRACE 2000,and HUMANOIDS from the DEEP,he is interviewing Roger Corman before the films play...and practiclly shines his dam shoes! Whatta ass kisser.

Good old Ebert, proving once and for all that those who can, do.  Thaose who can't, criticize.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Still need to get this one on DVD, although the "Super Woman" incident is enough just the first time (kinda burns itself to the ol' cerebellum)...

Since we are talking about Roger . . . he has a new collection of his reviews out. It is called "Your Movie Sucks." While I agree with some of his reviews, both pro and con, I can't take seriously a man who hated . . . hated . . . hated . . .

"Alligator"
"At the Earth's Core"
"Blue Velvet"
"Death Race 2000"
"Deep Rising"
"Lair of the White Worm"
"Piranha"

Obviously, he is not a man who understands a good "bad" movie.

And I am right there with you.  I think that it is a shame this one is not out on a good quality DVD.  The scene with the kid being forced to walk the plank, into the pool with the alligator in it, still sticks in my mind.
